Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, Ambassador Felix Denegri, led the ceremony to launch the official website for Peru's accession process to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

It is a tool that reflects the Peruvian State's commitment to a transformative process conceived as a State policy aimed at strengthening institutions and aligning public policies with international standards.

During his remarks, the diplomat said the website (www.peruenlaocde.com.pe) underscores the collective effort under way, facilitates knowledge, understanding, and monitoring of the accession process.

Likewise, the portal helps bring the process closer to national stakeholders such as the public sector, private sphere, academia, media, and civil society.

Deputy Minister Denegri expressed recognition to the Federal Republic of Germany for its firm and sustained commitment to Peru's OECD accession process through German development cooperation, implemented by GIZ, which has consolidated itself as a strategic ally.

Within this framework, the diplomat said initiatives such as the web platform are a visible example of that strategic partnership.

During the ceremony, he welcomed a message sent from Paris by Gita Kothari, the OECD coordinator for Peru's accession to the international organization, whose remarks reaffirm the importance of moving forward with high standards, transparency, and good practices.

Furthermore, the official highlighted messages shared by sector leaders from the Ministries of Education and Production, who have guided evaluations that already concluded their technical phase and reflect the State's capacity to respond to the process' demands.

In turn, Peru's High Representative for the OECD Accession Process, Ambassador Ana Maria Sanchez, stressed that the web platform is the result of an institutional coordination effort that supports the initiative, as well as contributes to a better understanding of its progress and challenges.
