"Our embassies and consulates remain in contact with Peruvians in the conflict zone. They have received guidance and information about the situation in each country, as well as about the land evacuations being carried out in a safe and organized manner," the government agency stated on Wednesday night.
In a statement, the Ministry reported that fellow citizen Penelope Gonzalez Barros, who was visiting relatives in Iran, received timely assistance from the Peruvian missions she approached.
"The Embassy of Peru in Ankara maintained constant contact with the Peruvian national, monitoring her until she left Iranian territory. She is currently in Armenia and is being assisted by the Embassy of Peru in Moscow," the statement reads.
It adds that the mission has carried out the necessary arrangements to provide her with transportation, lodging, and food. Gonzalez Barros is also receiving full support for her return to Oman, as she requested.
Moreover, the Foreign Affairs Ministry reported that "our Embassy in Israel has registered 91 Peruvians. According to estimations, the number of nationals in Israel who have not yet contacted our diplomatic mission is approximately 3,900."
"Fortunately, no Peruvian nationals have been reported affected as a result of the bombings so far," the government agency noted.
Regarding the Peruvian community in Iran, it was reported that the Embassy in Türkiye is aware that some nationals remain in Tehran, while others have moved to more remote areas where relatives and friends reside.
