At the event, the diplomat welcomed the proposal to establish a hemispheric platform for citizen security.
This initiative aims to strengthen regional cooperation in response to the advance of organized crime through coordinated and effective actions that directly benefit the population.
Minister Schialer reaffirmed Peru's commitment to the Summit of the Americas process, emphasizing the need to translate multilateral mandates into tangible benefits for citizens.
In that context, the Peruvian ambassador expressed his appreciation for the presentation of the draft Declaration to be adopted at the 10th Summit of the Americas, to be held in Punta Cana in December 2025.
Similarly, the diplomat highlighted that the draft Declaration offers a comprehensive approach which integrates security, development, and sustainability, while incorporating the environmental dimension as a cross-cutting element.
"Our biodiversity must become a strategic advantage, not a risk," he stated, emphasizing the importance of a hemispheric perspective that protects natural resources while strengthening peace, well-being, and the resilience of our societies.
