The Presidency of the Republic highlighted the growth of Peru's mining exports, stating they remain a driver of development which strengthens the national economy.
The message was shared by the Presidential Office on the X platform.
"Peruvian mining remains a driver of development that strengthens our economy and improves the quality of life for thousands of families," it stated.
The Presidential Office also emphasized that this means more progress for Peru.
Additionally, it reported that mining exports grew by 27.6% in the first quarter of 2025, reaching US$13.721 billion.
"This progress is driven by increased activity in key mining products such as gold, tin, zinc, silver, and copper, which generate opportunities and jobs across all regions," it specified.
