The Head of State made these remarks at the start of the
State Council session held at the Government Palace in Lima.
Mrs. Boluarte emphasized that,
in order to ensure tranquility, internal order, and the success of APEC Peru 2024, more than 5,000 Armed Forces personnel will support the Peruvian National Police during this important event.
The top official indicated that such efforts require an interoperable justice system, "so that the product of one institution is the input of the other."
Mrs. Boluarte added that it is vital that the institutions which make up the State Council continue to work together.
"We are just a few days away from a momentous event for our country, the APEC 2024 forum, where Peru will be host for the third time. And this should make us proud because we will prove that we are a good country for responsible investments, trade, tourism, and business. We are a trustworthy country," she expressed.
The president said that the Government guarantees an internationally recognized economic stability through stable prices, without fuel increases, as well as a reliable image for private investments.
"All this is important, but it must go hand-in-hand with security and well-being," she added.
