The
on Tuesday stated that her administration is working with commitment to solve the population's problems, without stealing a single sol (Peruvian currency) from the national treasury.
"We are working here with a commitment to Peruvian identity, with a commitment to solving the historical problems of Peruvians, and without stealing a single sol from Peruvian families —working honestly, transparently, and with determination," she told TVPeru.
Likewise, Mrs. Boluarte stated that this is the commitment she took on as President: to ensure that every sol collected from taxes can be invested in projects that benefit the population.
Furthermore, the Head of State indicated that her government's intention is to carry out projects which can be completed during her term, rather than leave behind initiatives that "will be a headache" for the next administration.
"(Public) work started, (public) work completed —except for those that, due to their scale, may take more time. But we will leave the way clear for the next government to continue the work so that these projects are not left unfinished, because it is the population who must benefit," Mrs. Boluarte said.
"We have no political calculations; we have pure love for our fellow citizens," she added.
These remarks were made by Mrs. Boluarte during her inspection of the project to create potable water systems connected to Reservoir N-31 in the southern city of Arequipa, where she arrived to carry out a series of official activities.
Regarding the sanitation project visited in Arequipa, the top official stated that it was 93% complete. She added that, once finished, it could benefit 70,000 families.
