The Lava Jato Case Special Prosecution Group has filed criminal charges against former presidential candidate Keiko Fujimori Higuchi and others over the financing of the 2011 and 2016 election campaigns, in the so-called 'Cocktails' case, also requesting a 35-year prison sentence.
Provincial Prosecutor Jose Domingo Perez filed criminal charges against the following defendants: Keiko Fujimori, Pier Figari, Ana Rosa Herz, Jaime Yoshiyama, Jose Chlimper, Adriana Tarazona, Augusto Bedoya, Mark Vito Villanella, Ana Cecilia Matsuno, Giancarlo Bertini, Hugo Tasayco, Juan Carlos Luna, Luis Mejia, and Rafael Herrera.
The charges also extend to the legal entities Partido Politico Fuerza Popular (Popular Force Political Party) and MVV Bienes Raices S.A.C.
Regarding Keiko Fujimori, the Prosecutor's Office requested a 35-year prison sentence and a fine equivalent to 730 days, for the alleged crimes of aggravated money laundering within a criminal organization, in concurrence with the crimes of false statements in administrative proceedings and general falsehood.
The Public Ministry (Prosecutor's Office) also requested the dismissal of 19 individuals under investigation and the partial dismissal of two of them.
Thus,
the Constitutional Court's ruling issued under case file No. 02803-2023-HC/TC is being complied with, and the case will now proceed to the indictment review stage.
