The Cabinet member said the new airport's grand opening might take place on December 18, according to estimates by Lima Airport Partners (LAP) -the concessionaire in charge of terminal expansion works.

"All institutions involved in the opening of the airport, the Ministry of Transportation-Communications (MTC), the Ministry of Interior (Mininter), the Ministry of Foreign Trade-Tourism (Mincetur), all of us who have something to do with it are working to ensure that this opening is truly successful and that we can show the world more of what Peru has to offer," she added.
