The issuance of a commemorative stamp was announced to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their diplomatic ties.
This philatelic piece will feature the Peruvian taruca (Andean deer) and the giant sable antelope of Angola —species that symbolize the rich biodiversity, as well as the joint efforts by Peru and Angola to protect it.
Likewise, the meeting highlighted Peru's interest in boosting bilateral trade by exploring high-potential products such as beans, ethyl alcohol, and fishing nets.
In the area of cooperation, Peru reiterated its offer to share successful experiences featured in the "2025–2026 Peruvian Catalogue of Technical Cooperation" and paved the way for agreements in the fight against illicit drug trafficking.
Joint initiatives at multilateral forums were also discussed, and Angola's important role in conflict mediation in Africa was acknowledged.
Peru
expressed particular interest in Angola's experience with strategic infrastructure, such as the Lobito Corridor, and in the progress of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), regarded as an inspiring model of regional integration.The meeting was held at the Foreign Affairs Ministry headquarters in the Peruvian capital, Lima, on Wednesday.
