The United States Embassy in Lima has delivered rescue and wildfire protection equipment to the General Volunteer Fire Department of Peru as part of its commitment to safety and regional cooperation.

The U.S. diplomatic mission made the donation through the U.S. Southern Command's Humanitarian Assistance Program (HAP).

The contribution includes rescue and wildfire protection equipment valued at US$89,683.78.

Donation to benefit three regions

The equipment will be used to strengthen response efforts in Amazonas, San Martin, and Ucayali, regions that are regularly exposed to wildfires.

This donation aims to enhance the Peruvian government's operational capacity in managing emergencies and natural disasters, helping protect vulnerable populations.

Through this contribution, the United States reaffirms its bilateral commitment to regional security, supporting Peru's efforts during critical moments.

"We build peace through strength and shared preparedness," the U.S. Embassy stated on social media, highlighting its partnership with the General Volunteer Fire Department of Peru.
