The Executive Branch, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, submitted to Congress the documentation concerning the agreement signed between Peru and the World Meteorological Organization on behalf of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

The aforementioned agreement was signed by the World Meteorological Organization on April 1 and later, on April 22, by the Republic of Peru.

Its purpose is to establish the commitments to be undertaken by both parties for the holding of the Sixty-third Session of the IPCC. The event will take place in Lima in the fourth quarter of 2025.

It is also specified that the approval of said agreement is beneficial to the South American country.

The supreme resolution bears the signature of the President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte. It is countersigned by Cabinet Chief Eduardo Arana and Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer.
