The Government of Peru strongly condemns the attacks that recently occurred in the cities of Antioquia and Cali.
It also expresses condolences to the victims and conveys solidarity with the Government and people of Colombia in this difficult time.
"Peru firmly rejects any act of violence that undermines the peace and integrity of the population and security forces in the sister Republic of Colombia," the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a message on social media.
A car bomb near the Marco Fidel Suarez Military Aviation School in the Colombian city of Cali (southwest) and the downing of a police helicopter in the municipality of Amalfi (northwest) left at least 13 dead and more than 20 people injured on Thursday.
The explosion that occurred near the Aviation School has not yet been claimed by any armed group.
