The Head of State was accompanied by Ministers Juan Carlos Vargas (Environment) and Durich Whittembury (Housing, Construction, and Sanitation), along with local authorities.
The top official toured the recycling plant's facilities and inspected the machinery and compactor trucks.
The project to improve and expand public cleaning services in the urban areas of Morrope, San Jose, and Lambayeque will benefit 137,000 residents.
The national government's investment exceeds S/25 million (above US$7.07 million).
