The President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte, on Monday morning attended the solemn mass and Te Deum as part of the official events marking the 204th Anniversary of the Proclamation of National Independence.

The religious ceremony —which she attended alongside Ministerial Cabinet members and other authorities from the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches— took place at the Cathedral of Lima.

The Head of State arrived at the ecclesiastical venue before 8:00 a.m. (local time) from the Government Palace, receiving the corresponding honors due to her high office.

Also taking part in the solemn mass and Te Deum were representatives of autonomous institutions, as well as the Armed Forces and the Peruvian National Police.

This was the president's first official activity in the program of events for the 204th Anniversary of the Proclamation of National Independence.
