announced that five registration requests for electoral alliances were submitted, as the deadline set in the electoral schedule expired at 11:59 p.m. on August 2.
JNE spokesperson Luis Grillo stated that
four of those requests have already been forwarded to the National Directorate of Political Organizations Registry (DNROP) for the corresponding evaluation, while one of them, Ahora Nación, was subject to observations.
The electoral alliances that have submitted their registration requests so far are:
Unidad Nacional (National Unity), formed by the political groups Partido Popular Cristiano (Christian People’s Party), Partido Unidad y Paz (Unity and Peace Party), and Partido Peruanos Unidos: ¡Somos Libres! (Peruvians United: We Are Free!)
Ahora Nación (Now Nation), made up of the parties Ahora Nación (Now Nation) and Salvemos al Perú (Let’s Save Peru Party).
Fuerza y Libertad (Strength and Liberty), composed of the parties Fuerza Moderna (Modern Force) and Batalla Perú (Battle for Peru)
Venceremos (We Will Overcome), formed by Voces del Pueblo (Voices of the People) and Nuevo Perú (New Peru).
Frente de los Trabajadores y Emprendedores (Front of Workers and Entrepreneurs), made up of Primero la Gente (First the People) and the Partido de los Trabajadores y Emprendedores (Workers and Entrepreneurs Party).
Grillo also specified that the Ahora Nación alliance has until Tuesday, August 5, to address the observations and finalize the registration request process.
August 2 marked the deadline for political organizations to submit their requests for the registration of electoral alliances ahead of the 2026 General Elections.
Following this, the JNE's National Directorate of Political Organizations Registry (DNROP) will begin the process of reviewing the submitted documentation.
According to the electoral schedule, September 1 is the deadline for electoral alliances that submitted registration requests to meet the requirements established by electoral regulations and obtain definitive registration.
