The Executive Branch has acted swiftly and promptly, and coordination among the sectors involved remains ongoing,
stated on Friday in response to the meteorological phenomena affecting Peru’s central and southern coast.
During the session, the Ministers of Defense, Environment, Health, Interior, and Transportation-Communications reported on the measures taken in response to the increased wind speeds along the Peruvian coast.
Within this framework, the Prime Minister stated that "in accordance with the guidelines issued since yesterday at noon, coordination took place with Civil Defense, Admiral Lozada, and the ministers present at this table to implement preventive measures."
Likewise, the Cabinet chief highlighted that the actions implemented by each sector have yielded positive results.
Furthermore, the high-ranking official noted that there has been direct coordination with the Navy and with regional Civil Defense directors to implement the necessary measures.
Lastly, Arana stated that preventive actions within the Civil Defense system continue to function.
"The Executive Branch has acted swiftly and promptly, and coordination remains constant. We are all working in a coordinated and integrated manner for the benefit of the population," he concluded.
