Peru: President receives greetings from diplomatic corps and high-ranking authorities

The President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte, on Monday afternoon received greetings from members of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, as well as from high-ranking national authorities.

Held at the Government Palace in Lima, the ceremony was also attended by Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer and Cabinet Chief Eduardo Arana.

Among the senior officials present were Congress Chairman Jose Jeri, Constitutional Court Chairwoman Luz Pacheco, and Ombudsman Josue Gutierrez.

Also in attendance were National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) Chief Piero Corvetto, National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (RENIEC) Head Carmen Velarde, among other authorities.

Earlier on Monday, President Boluarte delivered her Independence Day Address to the Nation before lawmakers at Congress.

It took place in the main chamber of the Legislative Palace, with the participation of Parliament members.
