on Tuesday chaired the 8th Regional State Council in the city of Iquitos, capital of Loreto region.
The meeting was attended by around 16 regional governors.
It was the first time this event took place in Iquitos and, more broadly, in a city in the Peruvian Amazon.
The council was held at the main auditorium of the Peruvian Air Force (FAP) facility.
It also included the presence of Prime Minister Eduardo Arana and Loreto Region Governor Rene Chavez, who hosted the event.
