The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Metropolitan Lima rose by 0.13% in June compared to May, while the monthly core inflation rate —excluding food and energy— was 0.07% for the same period.
The price variations that contributed most to the rise in June's inflation were other fresh fruits (+8.2%), fresh sea fish (+6.7%), and meals outside the home (+0.2%).
Meanwhile, the categories with the greatest downward impact were eggs (-6.4%), chicken meat (-1.2%), and sugar (-4.2%).
