Peru's Ambassador presents credentials in Switzerland

Diplomat Julio Garro Galvez presented to the President of the Swiss Confederation, Karin Keller-Sutter, the letters of credence accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the recipient State.

During the ceremony, the bilateral relationship was highlighted, marked by high-level visits and an extensive joint agenda.

Ambassador Garro stressed Switzerland's support for Peru's aspiration to join the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), as well as the measures implemented in the South American country to achieve this goal.

The importance of Swiss cooperation aimed at capacity building was also underscored.

In turn, President Keller-Sutter agreed on the importance of Peru's accession to the 
Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Likewise, she reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the country in this process.

The ceremony took place at the Federal Palace in Bern on Wednesday.
