The Executive Branch, through the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, submitted to Congress the documentation concerning the agreement signed between Peru and the
World Meteorological Organization on behalf of the
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
The
submission of said documentation was formalized through Supreme Resolution No. 103-2025-RE, published in the Legal Regulation section of the Official Gazette El Peruano on Tuesday.
Its
purpose is to establish the commitments to be undertaken by both parties for the holding of the Sixty-third Session of the IPCC. The
event will take place in Lima in the fourth quarter of 2025.
It is also specified that the approval of said agreement is beneficial to the South American country.
The supreme resolution bears the signature of the President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte. It is countersigned by Cabinet Chief Eduardo Arana and Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer.
