Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Desilu Leon took part in the ceremony, held in Lima, commemorating the 78th anniversary of India's Independence.
At the event held last week, the importance of continuing to strengthen political, trade, and cooperation ties between the two countries was underscored.
The
ceremony was attended by India's Ambassador to Peru, Vishvas Sapkal; Peruvian Ministers Jorge Montero (Energy and Mines), Enrique Alcantara (Justice and Human Rights), as well as Deputy Ministers Felix Denegri (Foreign Affairs) and Teresa Mera (Foreign Trade and Tourism).

On that occasion, the Peruvian government official held meetings with authorities and business leaders of the host country.
India is a key partner for Peru in sectors such as mining, agribusiness, textiles, and manufacturing.
The Ministry also stated that, through its participation in this commemorative ceremony, Peru reaffirms its commitment to further strengthening ties with India and to continuing work on a bilateral agenda that enhances trade, cooperation, and mutual development.
