Peru expresses condolences to Bangladesh over plane crash victims

The Government of Peru expressed its deep condolences to the people of Bangladesh over the victims of the Air Force training aircraft accident that occurred recently in the town of Uttara, north of Dhaka.

Through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Peru also extended its wishes for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident.

At least 27 people died in Bangladesh on Monday when an Air Force training aircraft crashed near a campus in the northern part of the capital, according to official sources.

According to the interim government, some 100 people were also injured in the accident.

The aircraft crashed in the area of Milestone College, in the Diabari district of the Bangladeshi capital, where emergency teams were deployed.

Bangladeshi authorities have declared Tuesday a national day of mourning.
