President Boluarte: Peru emerges as a reliable partner for Japan

The President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte, stated that Peru is a reliable partner for Japan and has the potential to become a high-value strategic supplier of food.

"Amid the challenges of the international arena, Peru emerges as a reliable partner. My country has the capacity to become a strategic supplier of high-nutritional-value food to Japan," she stated.

The Head of State participated in the inauguration of the 16th Meeting of the Peruvian–Japanese Business Council (CEPEJA).

Within this framework, the President highlighted the efforts of this private association to boost commercial exchange and investment flows between the two countries.

In this regard, Mrs. Boluarte stressed that this alliance of entrepreneurs is making notable efforts to promote Peruvian exports in the Japanese market.

The top official said that one of her administration's main goals is to foster sustained growth of the Peruvian economy through the expansion of its markets around the world.

"My country offers highly valued agricultural and fishery exports at the international level, thanks to Peru's exceptional biodiversity and access to over 160 international markets, driven by its economic openness policy and trade agreements," she emphasized.

The Head of State officially began her activities in the Asian country with her participation in the 16th Meeting of the CEPEJA.

This event brings together top executives from major Japanese corporations with their Peruvian counterparts.

In this edition, business leaders hope to finalize bilateral agreements and mutually beneficial trade exchanges that will promote new investments and economic opportunities.

Afterwards, the President will head to the Embassy of Peru in Japan. There, she will take part in the donation ceremony of fire trucks by the Japan Firefighters Association (JFA) to the General Corps of Volunteer Firefighters of Peru (CGBVP).
