Peruvian Angelo Caro once again made it to the podium in a world championship, this time at the Mystic Sk8 Cup. He was crowned champion in the Street category, out of a total of 74 finalists, in the event held in the Czech capital, Prague.
The Olympic diploma recipient at Tokyo 2020 placed first, ahead of Tijmen Overbeek (the Netherlands) and Richard Tury of Slovakia, an Olympic athlete for Paris 2024.
This victory is part of his intense training in major international tournaments, as he prepares for the Lima 2027 Pan American Games.
The Mystic Sk8 Cup is one of the largest skateboarding competitions in Europe. It attracts the best skaters from around the world, and is part of the World Cup Skateboarding tour.
This event has been held regularly since 1994 at the indoor skatepark in central Prague, on the island of Štvanice. It has become one of the most popular in history over the years.
The Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) works in coordination with the Peruvian National Sports Federation of Skating for the development of this discipline.
