Brasil Avenue in Lima once again fills with martial spirit, music, and folklore as the Grand Military and Civic Parade begins —an event held every July 29 to celebrate Peru's independence through traditional dances, uniformed squadrons, and the presence of state authorities.

The patriotic event began with the hoisting of the national flag and the singing of the National Anthem.

The Head of State is accompanied by the heads of Congress and the Judiciary, along with high-ranking officials from the Armed Forces, the National Police, and various state institutions.

The Grand Parade takes place along Jesus Maria, Pueblo Libre, and Breña districts, featuring military and police units, civil delegations, and representatives of social programs. All of them pay tribute to Peruvian history, unity, and national identity.

The celebration opened with a cultural parade, followed by artistic performances such as the Scissors Dance and musical fusions from different regions of Peru.

It continues with the display of units that include war veterans, foreign delegations, and mounted, motorized, and airborne forces.

Since early in the morning, Brasil Avenue has been packed with participants preparing for the Grand Military and Civic Parade.

Police agents with their service dogs, dancers from various regions, and military vehicles form part of a display that has already captured the attention of the public —especially children, who watch every detail of the event in amazement.
