Peru's President meets with ASEAN Secretary-General

Peruvian President Dina Boluarte held a meeting on Monday with Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn.

During the meeting, the top official emphasized the importance for Peru of being recognized as a cooperating partner of the intergovernmental organization, as well as promoting the South American country's position as a safe destination for investments and regional development.

"Peru reaffirms itself as a strategic partner of Southeast Asia!" the Presidential Office stated via social media.

On this occasion, the Head of State was accompanied by Ministers Elmer Schialer (Foreign Affairs), Raul Perez Reyes (Economy and Finance), Desilu Leon (Foreign Trade and Tourism), and Angel Manero (Agrarian Development and Irrigation).



It will strengthen the economic and trade relationship between both countries and allow the entry of Peruvian blueberries into Indonesia.
