Peruvian swimmer Jose Peñaloza Jarrin, 94, won three gold medals at the 2025 World Aquatics Masters Championships held in Singapore.
The senior athlete's medals came in three events. He also added two bronze awards.
Peñaloza Jarrin —an endocrinologist by profession— reached the top of the podium in the 200-, 400-, and 800-meter freestyle events, while his bronze medals came in the freestyle relay and individual medley.
The master athlete is the current national, South American, and Pan American champion in his age category.
The 2025 World Aquatics Masters Championships took place from August 7 to 14. It featured the participation of 6,000 athletes from 100 countries.
