During the presentation of an air ambulance and new aircraft for the Peruvian Air Force (FAP) on Monday,
stated that the government is determined to make it a modern institution and a leader in the aerospace field at both the national and regional levels.
"Because you embody sacrifice, dedication, and passion for Peru. You are a source of inspiration to continue building a country with a future. A Peru that does not stop, but advances relentlessly toward development," Mrs. Boluarte expressed.
The Head of State said her administration had taken on the long-overdue task of strengthening the Armed Forces' operational capacity after years of neglect by past governments.
"We set out to give our security forces the place they deserve because they are a fundamental pillar in the defense of our sovereignty, our democracy, and the development of our beloved country; and because, in decisive moments for the nation, they have shown commitment and sacrifice beyond the call of duty," she stated.
In this regard, the top official stressed that the delivery of this set of aircraft will enhance the Air Force's operation capacity for the benefit of the nation.
She explained that the second air ambulance is equipped with vital signs monitors, stretchers, incubators, and cold chain systems for organs, making it a strategic unit for the National Medical Care System.
The President also noted that the first air ambulance has carried out more than 100 aeromedical flights and transported over 145 Peruvians in critical condition from remote or hard-to-reach areas since October 2024.
"With this second air ambulance we are further strengthening aeromedical evacuation and emergency transportation to continue saving the lives of our compatriots," Mrs. Boluarte emphasized.
Meanwhile, the top official noted that the two training aircraft assigned to Air Group 6 in Chiclayo, northern Peru, will boost pilot training and the international projection of the national aerobatic squadron.
These are joined by two helicopters, ideal for flight instruction and training in emergencies and basic maneuvers, as well as a group of aircraft that have undergone repairs and modernization to optimize operability and extend their service life.
"The Armed Forces must be strategically prepared to respond to frequent emergency situations. They are essential, which is why it is imperative to strengthen, modernize, equip, and provide them with the latest advances," she pointed out.
In addition, the President highlighted that Peru's economy grew 3.3% in the first half of 2025, one of the highest rates in Latin America, driven by household spending.
"The latest INEI report confirms that private spending exceeded S/348 billion (US$98 million) in the first six months of the year, expanding by more than 3%," Mrs. Boluarte stated.
"This dynamism takes place in a context of low and controlled inflation, which means Peruvians are not spending more because prices are rising, but because their purchasing power has improved," she concluded.
