Peru: Government highlights 2.6% GDP fiscal deficit over past 12 months

As of July 2025, the cumulative fiscal deficit over the past 12 months remained at 2.6% of GDP, signaling sound and solid public resources management.

This was highlighted by the Presidency of the Republic on its social media channels.

The government reiterated that these results confirm the strength of the country's finances.

According to preliminary figures from the Central Reserve Bank, the cumulative fiscal deficit over the past 12 months remained at 2.6%, holding this level for the third consecutive month.

In nominal terms, the accumulated economic result reached a deficit of S/29.849 billion (US$8.453 billion).
