China's President Xi Jinping arrives in Peru for State Visit

The President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, arrived in Lima on Thursday afternoon to undertake a State visit and participate in APEC Leaders' Week, currently underway in Peru.

The dignitary was welcomed at Callao Air Group No. 8 by Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen, on behalf of President Dina Boluarte.

Upon his arrival, the Chinese leader was greeted with the honors befitting his high office.

Mr. Xi Jinping's visit follows an invitation extended by Mrs. Boluarte.

According to the Foreign Affairs Ministry, both Presidents will review the extensive bilateral agenda during this State visit.

They will also sign agreements aimed at deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations and inaugurate the Chancay megaport.
