Peru and Romania work to strengthen diplomatic, trade relations

Peruvian Ambassador to Romania, Felix Denegri Boza, held a working meeting with Alexandru-Mihai Ghigiu, Head of the Chancellery of the host country's Prime Minister, Marcel Ciolacu, with the aim of strengthening diplomatic relations through trade and investment.

During the meeting, the main infrastructure projects promoted by Peru were addressed, such as the Chancay Multipurpose Port Terminal, which will become the South Pacific's port hub.

Similarly, the officials discussed railway ventures, highlighting the Lima-Ica Project, which has generated interest among Romanian companies.

However, the most emphasized topic at this meeting was the upcoming trip of a delegation of Romanian businesspeople from the agricultural sector to Peru in October, when they will meet with farmers and government representatives at the regional level.

Moreover, Ghigiu welcomed the work that the Peruvian Embassy in Romania has been performing with the aim of increasing economic and trade relations between both countries.

Likewise, the Romanian official underscored that the economy is the foundation of bilateral relations.

Ghigiu also indicated that, from his position, he will provide support to foster greater interrelation in the economic-commercial sphere between Peru and Romania.

This meeting took place in Bucharest on September 19.
