Peru: Two power plants begin operations using renewable energy sources

The Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) on Wednesday announced that the San Gaban III Hydroelectric Power Plant ―located in San Gaban district, Carabaya Province (Puno region)― began operations on May 30, with an installed capacity of 209.3 megawatts (MW), to generate electricity using the San Gaban River waters.
