A new meeting of the National Coordination Committee of Peru's 10th Country Programme (2022–2026) was held at the
headquarters on Wednesday, reaffirming its members' commitment to promoting international cooperation.
The session —chaired by the Director of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Cesar Jordan— focused on the programme's progress in addressing the key challenges Peru faces in its pursuit of equitable and sustainable development.
Similarly, the diplomat highlighted the initiative's comprehensive vision, which promotes effective coordination between public and private entities.
Ambassador Jordan noted that the Foreign Affairs Ministry aims to attract cooperation through a multidimensional approach that supports national development.
This will be achieved by promoting equitable access to family planning and maternal health services, strengthening data systems and national and subnational capacities, and transforming sociocultural norms.
Also present at the Committee meeting were Deputy Public Health Minister Eric Peña; Peruvian Agency for International Cooperation (APCI) Executive Director, Ambassador Noela Pantoja; United Nations Resident Coordinator in Peru, Rossana Dudziak; and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Representative in Peru, Hugo Gonzalez.
