For the first time from Peru, the prestigious magazine Forbes has announced its regional 30 Under 30 list, recognizing young people under 30 who are transforming Latin America through innovation, talent, and social impact.

Among the more than 150 selected from across the region, Peruvian Lenin Tamayo stands out.

Tamayo is the creator of Q'Pop (Quechua Pop), an innovative genre that fuses Andean rhythms, Quechua, and K-pop. He is also the only Quechua artist featured in this edition.

At just 25 years old, Tamayo has brought his musical project to international stages, selling out shows on his first tour through Asia.

His originality and artistic vision recently earned him a contract with HYBE, the renowned South Korean record company that represents global groups such as BTS, making him the first artist on the label to sing in Quechua.

In this special edition, Forbes 30 Under 30 recognized young talents from Peru, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic.

They were grouped into five categories: Business and Finance; Technology and Innovation; Science, Education, and Creative Industries; Social Impact and Sustainability; and Sports and Entertainment.

Tamayo was included in the Entertainment category for his cultural contribution in bringing the Andean language and sounds to the global pop industry.

According to Forbes: "His original approach has had a notable impact, managing to sell out tickets on his first tour across Asia. He recently signed with HYBE, becoming the first artist on the label to sing in Quechua," thus underscoring his unique cultural contribution.

The selection process combined open nominations, rigorous research, and the opinion of industry experts, evaluating criteria such as social impact, development stage, and growth potential.
