During the presentation ceremony of aircraft acquired for the Peruvian Air Force (FAP), President Dina Boluarte reaffirmed her government's commitment to continue modernizing and equipping the Armed Forces in close coordination with the Ministry of Defense.

This event was held at Las Palmas Air Base in the Peruvian capital, Lima, on Monday.

It was also attended by Defense Minister Walter Astudillo; FAP Commander General, Air General Carlos Chavez Cateriano; and Joint Command of the Armed Forces Chief, Army General David Ojeda Parra; among other authorities.

During her speech, the Head of State highlighted the FAP's commitment and dedication in defending national sovereignty and responding to emergencies.

The top official stressed that, after decades of postponement, her government has decisively taken on the task of strengthening the Armed Forces' operational capacity.

Mrs. Boluarte placed special emphasis on the incorporation of the second Beechcraft King Air 360C to Air Group No. 8, in Callao region. It is an aircraft equipped for aeromedical evacuations and emergency transport.

She noted that since the acquisition of the first aircraft in October 2024, more than 100 aeromedical flights have been carried out, saving the lives of over 145 Peruvians in the country's remote areas.

"With this second air ambulance, we continue strengthening our Air Force's capacity to save lives," Mrs. Boluarte pointed out.

She also underlined that the two Gamebird GB1 aircraft, assigned to Air Group No. 6 in Chiclayo, northern Peru, will enhance the advanced training of pilots and the international projection of the Bicolor Aerobatic Squadron.

In addition, two Enstrom F280 FX helicopters, intended for instruction and training, along with eight repaired and modernized aircraft, will help optimize operability and extend the service life of the air fleet.
