on Monday invited U.S. business leaders to invest in Peru.
Similarly, the Head of State highlighted the wide range of opportunities the South American country offers for the development of infrastructure projects such as railways and airports.
Mrs. Boluarte delivered these remarks during a business meeting organized by the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom and the Ibero-American Business Council (CEAPI).
The President attended this event, as part of her trip to New York, United States, to take part in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During her speech, she noted that one of these projects involves connecting Peru's entire length from north to south by railway.
As for airports, the President recalled that the new Jorge Chavez International Airport was recently inaugurated.
Likewise, she noted the need for other Peruvian regions to have facilities capable of receiving international flights in cities such as Cusco and Arequipa, so that passengers will no longer have to stop over in Lima to reach those destinations.
"That is why we want to strengthen the infrastructure of airports, ports, and highways. We have a wide range of projects for you to invest in with confidence," Mrs. Boluarte underscored.
Furthermore, the top official stressed that in 2026 she will hand over the presidential sash and highlighted that her administration is setting a high bar.
In this regard, she expressed confidence that her successor, whether a man or a woman, will continue on this path of growth, assuring that investments are guaranteed.
The Head of State also expressed her interest in meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump to ask him to "look toward Latin America."
The President stated that Peru aims to promote an image of unity across the entire Americas, adding that the United States should lead this effort.
"We are a single continent, a single continent, which should be the strongest, and we have the means to achieve it. Latin America has the vast resources to feed the world; we have that strength," Mrs. Boluarte said.
Moreover, the top official pointed out that Peru "does not limit itself" to working on projects with a single foreign country, citing as examples the Chavimochic and Majes Sihuas Projects, which are backed by Canadian and Japanese capital, respectively.
"Peru is receiving investment from around the world, and the United States, which is a very important trading partner, we want it to look at Peru, so that your investments do not travel so far—to Europe or Asia—but stay in the Americas, and what better place than this beautiful country, heirs of a great empire, the Inca Empire," she emphasized.
