Amid deteriorating security conditions in the Middle East, the
urges Peruvian nationals residing in or temporarily staying in the region to postpone non-essential travel.
Similarly, they are advised to "consider evacuation plans based on available commercial routes," according to a communiqué released on Thursday evening.
Likewise, the Peruvian government agency recommends taking maximum precaution and moving around cautiously, following the guidance of local authorities.
Furthermore, they should stay informed about developments in the security situation through official channels.
The document also urges them to remain alert to any information posted on the social media accounts of the Ministry and the Peruvian Embassies in Israel, Egypt, and Türkiye.
"If they have airline tickets to leave the region in the coming days, they should reconfirm their travel itineraries with the airlines and remain alert to any possible changes or cancellations," the statement emphasizes.
Lastly, the Foreign Affairs Ministry reminds citizens that Peru has no diplomatic or consular representation in Lebanon or Iran. Therefore, Peruvian nationals in those territories may contact the missions in Egypt and Türkiye using the following contact details:
