The Peruvian government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, condemned the attack on the territories of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan.

"The Government of Peru condemns the attacks against the territories of the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and expresses its hope for a de-escalation of military tensions in the Gulf region and the Middle East," the Ministry said on the X platform.

Similarly, Peru reaffirmed its commitment to the strict respect for international law and the peaceful settlement of disputes.

"Peru reaffirms its firm commitment to the strict respect for international law, State sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the peaceful settlement of disputes, in accordance with the principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations," the government agency stated.

The statement came after the United States and Israel launched an attack on targets in Tehran and other Iranian cities on Saturday morning, to which Iran has so far responded by firing missiles toward Israeli territory and U.S. military bases across the region.
