on Thursday greeted the thousands of workers who stood up and continue driving the engines of production and formal transportation that carry the lives of Peruvians.
“As a government, we are aware that we must always safeguard workers' rights. That is why this morning I greet the thousands of workers who stand up, who do not yield to political blackmail, who continue driving the engines of production, and above all, formal transportation,” she expressed.
Amid a sector of transport operators calling a strike today, the top official stated that the country needs to move forward through work and without giving criminals any respite.
“We will not back down one centimeter; our National Police continue confronting that scourge that causes so much harm to our society. We will overcome citizen insecurity, together as brothers,” she said.
Sunafil vehicle handover
The initiative is aimed at strengthening oversight of compliance with labor regulations.
The top official mentioned that this is an investment in effectiveness, efficiency, and labor justice, as with these vehicles Sunafil personnel will be able to travel promptly across the country, especially to the most remote areas, bringing the Peruvian State's presence.
The Head of State emphasized that Sunafil is essential for labor formalization, one of the priority pillars of her government, ensuring better working conditions, access to social security, and fairer business competition.
“Let us continue working with commitment, determination, and transparency. Sunafil has contributed to the labor formalization of more than 969,000 workers, positively impacting their lives and those of their families through access to social security and the pension system,” she said.
Economic growth
The President underscored that Peru's economy has recorded 15 consecutive months of growth.
The top official also noted that Moody's rating agency has projected that Peru will be one of the countries leading growth in Latin America this year, with expansion exceeding 3%.
“That is the work we have focused on, concentrated on, and we will not be distracted. We will continue moving forward steadily to achieve what the country needs. Gone are the days of growth for only a few. Today, economic recovery is reaching all of Peru and all Peruvians,” she expressed.
The Head of State acknowledged that deep social and infrastructure gaps, created by decades of neglect, still exist, but progress is being made steadily.
Mrs. Boluarte noted that by the end of her government she will leave a legacy of honest work, which has enabled Peru to recover, defend democracy, the Constitution, the rule of law, and even the presidential office against arbitrary investigations.
