Peru: President reaffirms commitment to strengthening public higher education quality

The President of the Republic, Jose Maria Balcazar, held a working meeting with representatives of the National Association of Public Universities of Peru (ANUPP) to hear firsthand the main needs of these institutions.

During the session, key issues were addressed, such as the budget situation, teaching salaries equalization, and academic research promotion.

The Head of State reaffirmed the Executive Branch's willingness to open channels for engagement and work in a coordinated manner to strengthen the quality of public higher education.

Education Minister Erfurt Castillo and Congressman Edgar Tello attended the meeting.

The event was held at the Government Palace in Lima.
