Peru: Over 32 million COVID-19 vaccine doses applied

So far, 32,080,630 doses of the vaccine against COVID-19 have been administered in Peru, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) has reported.

Out of that total, 17,888,763 were given as first dose, while 14,121,827 as second dose.

"This figure represents 50% of the target population," the leading government authority in the health sector said in its daily report.

According to the Ministry of Health (Minsa), the target population in Peru consists of men and women over 12 years of age, that is, 28,024,250 people.

The information above is applicable as of October 18 at 6:05 p.m. (local time) and was published on the COVID-19 Vaccination Situation Room.

On Sunday, Minsa reported that 31,848,950 doses had been administered as of October 17 at 8:00 p.m. (local time), which means 231,680 vaccine doses have been given in the last 24 hours.
