Peru, Israel highlight cooperation ties and commercial exchange

Peru's Foreign Affairs Minister Oscar Maurtua has met with Israeli Ambassador to Peru Asaf Ichilevich, with whom he agreed to continue to strengthen ties of cooperation and expand commercial exchange between the two countries.

During the meeting, held on Monday, the Peruvian government official expressed appreciation for Israel's cooperation on health, education, agriculture, as well as science and technology.

According to Maurtua, this cooperation has contributed to improving the quality of life of populations in various regions across Peru.

"Thank you very much, Minister of Foreign Affairs. Israel will continue to work with Peruvian authorities in order to support the closure of social, economic, and digital gaps in the country," the Israeli envoy to Peru wrote on Twitter.

"As a friendly country, we continue strengthening our bilateral relations," he added.

It should be pointed out that the Peruvian diplomat has also met with Ambassadors of the United States and Thailand in recent days.
