Peru: Andina and El Peruano to promote Bicentennial activities

15:46 | Lima, Jul. 23.

The State-run Bicentennial Special Project and Editora Peru signed an inter-institutional collaboration agreement to spread information —via Andina news agency and the Official Gazette El Peruano— about the activities and actions included in the Independence Bicentennial Commemoration Agenda.

The purpose of the agreement is that Editora Peru's digital platforms allow citizens to get to know the various activities developed on the occasion of the 200 years of our independence to be commemorated in 2021.

In order to do so, the Bicentennial Special Project and Editora Peru will abide by the preventive and control provisions issued by the Peruvian Government within the framework of the state of emergency to fight COVID-19.

Editor-in-Chief Felix Paz affirmed that this strategic alliance will grant a greater impetus to the spreading of information about this important commemoration, adding that journalistic and audiovisual content will reach out to all Peruvians in the widest and fastest way, supported by the official website and social media outlets.

Andina is owned by Editora Peru, which also publishes the Official Gazette El Peruano.

The agreement was signed by Bicentennial Special Project Executive-Director Gabriela Andrea Perona and Editora Peru General Manager Nelly Patricia Zavaleta.
