Amid laughs and joy more than four thousand children enjoyed a great Christmas hot chocolate party and gift giving, in the Carmen de la Legua-Reynoso district of Callao, according to the local municipal government.
Miguel Grau Square became a hub of happiness as children and their parents gathered for a show that began with Santa Claus appearance, and the “Mamanuelas” (Santa Claus’ wife), Mickey Mouse, and the Grinch characters, delighting the crowd, eliciting smiles and even encouraging some people to dance along.
Shortly after, the mayor of Carmen de la Legua, Edwards Infante, kicked off the much-anticipated gift raffle for the children.
Thrilled youngsters walked away with prizes like bicycles, scooters, dolls, toy cars, and more.
“We want to share this special moment just hours before Christmas, bringing joy to the children. I wish you all love, warmth, and togetherness this Christmas Eve, surrounded by your families,” said Mayor Infante.
The children also enjoyed delicious a hot chocolate, pieces of panettone, and sweets.
In addition to the festive show, some kids enjoyed the face-painting booth, while others participated in painting and drawing workshops.
To ensure the safety of the event, local security personnel were deployed around the main square, along with an ambulance on standby for any potential emergencies.
