The BAP Union, a training ship of the Peruvian Navy, arrived on Sunday in London, where it was received by
Peru's Deputy Foreign Minister, Felix Denegri.
This was the vessel's first stop in the United Kingdom during its training voyage, as it will later sail to Aberdeen and Liverpool, the
Foreign Affairs Ministry reported.
"The BAP Union fulfills a naval training mission and also serves as a cultural ambassador of Peru. In every port, it shares living expressions of Peruvian art, history, and heritage with the international community," the government agency highlighted on X.
"Thus, our country reaffirms its oceanic vocation, promoting culture and international cooperation. A symbol of our history and our projection to the world," the post concluded.
