To foster development for the population, the National Government, through
— placed the first Order C geodetic point in the main square of the border district of Santa Rosa de Loreto, in Mariscal Ramon Castilla province, Loreto region.
The Geodetic Point certificate will be handed over to local authorities to boost development projects that benefit the community.
The IGN will produce the area's cartography. This information will be useful in various fields such as cadastre, security, environment, culture, education, among others.
It is the first step toward launching large-scale projects, such as hospitals, roads, schools, and other works that benefit fellow citizens in the area.
The IGN personnel —led by Army Lieutenant Fernando Molina— are touring the entire Santa Rosa de Loreto community to identify strategic locations where ground control points will be placed for use in cartography.
The official base map is expected to be ready within the next 30 calendar days, in both printable and editable formats.
Thus, the IGN reaffirms its commitment to promoting the development of all Peruvians.
Armed Forces deliver humanitarian aid
As part of the visit by Executive Branch authorities, an Air Force Hercules aircraft transported humanitarian aid supplies from Callao region to Caballococha, Loreto region.
Subsequently, personnel from the Army's 35th Jungle Brigade unloaded the supplies and transported them by river to Santa Rosa de Loreto, where they were delivered to vulnerable families in the border area.
In addition, Army, Air Force, and Navy personnel took part in the civic-military parade held on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of Santa Rosa de Loreto.
