The Embassy of Peru in Singapore participated in the special screening of the film 'Paddington in Peru,' organized by the British Embassy in Singapore.

Held on January 16, this event gathered over 350 attendees and provided an opportunity to promote Peru’s image in Southeast Asia.

Before the screening, Peruvian Ambassador, Francisco Tenya Hasegawa, and British Ambassador, Nikesh Mehta, delivered welcome remarks, highlighting the historic cultural ties that connect both countries through the beloved character known as Paddington.

"The place where Paddington was born will always be a land full of adventure and culture, which I hope you will visit and carry in your hearts," said the Peruvian diplomatic mission head.

As part of the cultural activities, the Embassy distributed souvenirs featuring Peruvian motifs to attendees.

Applause filled the room at the end of the screening, with Peruvian community members expressing pride in seeing various elements of our culture reflected in a globally-reaching film production.
