The Presidency of the Republic on Tuesday conveyed greetings to the Official Gazette El Peruano on the occasion of a new anniversary since its creation.

"We salute and recognize the tireless informative work performed by El Peruano Gazette," reads the message disseminated by the Presidential Office via social media.

The Peruvian State's Official Gazette celebrates today its 199th anniversary, disseminating the activities of public institutions, as well as national and international news events.

Since the dawn of the Republic

The presidential greeting states that the team of journalists and administrative workers of this publication "has accompanied the country almost since its founding as a republic."

The work carried out in Peru has enabled "citizens to have access to information, even at critical moments in our history."

The founding of El Peruano took place in 1825. It was an act promoted by liberator Simon Bolivar.
