Peruvian entrepreneurs participated in tourism trade fair in France

18:34 | Lima, Oct. 17.

Peru's Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) on Sunday reported that Peruvian entrepreneurs have taken part at Top Resa, an international travel and tourism trade fair held annually in Paris, which this year took place from October 5 to 8.

The Peruvian delegation, which had the support of PromPeru's Trade Office in France, expects to sign US$5.2 million in deals in the following months.

Said delegation was made up of 16 co-exhibiting companies —12 of which were receptive domestic management companies (DMC)— two hotels/lodges, one railway company, and one airline.

The pre-launch of the "Awaken to Peru" campaign took place during this event in order to foster the promotion of regions like Cusco, Puno, Arequipa, Madre de Dios, and Loreto on the French market.

The campaign will be displayed on digital screens at key spots across Paris and in the city of Lyon from October 18 to November 28.

"Awaken to Peru" aims to reconnect Peru with potential French tourists and strengthen Peru's position as a safe destination that adopts sustainability practices.

In this regard, the promotion of destinations using the Safe Travels stamp was intensified. Said stamp certifies that tourist destinations comply with all safety protocols.

The Peruvian pavilion at the fair featured tour operators, networks of travel agencies, and airlines.
